My Palma Clock alarm didn't ring
An alarm that doesn't ring must not happen. It is almost always a permission or battery saving. This is how to check.
Look in Clock first
If you see Your alarm can't ring like this at the top, tap it. Clock shows what is missing:
- Exact alarms: so the alarm goes off on the minute.
- Notifications: alarms and timers ring through a notification.
- Full screen: so the alarm comes over your lock screen.
Battery
- Samsung: Settings › Battery › Background usage limits › Never sleeping apps › add Palma Clock.
- Xiaomi: Settings › Apps › Manage apps › Palma Clock › Battery saver › No restrictions, and Autostart on.
- Other brands: turn off battery optimisation for Palma Clock.
Sound
An alarm uses your phone's alarm volume, not the media volume. Check that it isn't at zero. If you wake up to a station and there is no internet, a fixed tone plays: the alarm always rings.
What Clock already does
Alarms work without internet, in airplane mode, with Do Not Disturb and after a restart. After ten minutes an alarm stops, and Clock tells you so.
