Privacy: what goes online?
Palma has no account, no ads and no tracking. What Palma knows stays on your phone. This is what does go online, and only when you use it.
Always
- Update check: at most every twelve hours the latest version number, with your app's version number. We only count totals.
Only when you turn it on or use it
- Weather: a coarse location to Open-Meteo.
- News and Wikipedia answers: only the request to the source you choose.
- Feedback: what you write yourself, with app, version, device model and language.
- Statistics (off by default): once a week a fixed list of settings, without name, apps or text.
- Leaderboard in Arcade and the Palma Wall in Cam: only what you share yourself.
Never
Your apps, notifications, contacts, photos, texts or location for ourselves. We keep no IP addresses and no device id.
Backups
A backup is a file that you keep. Palma sends it nowhere.

- Make Palma your home screenAt the end of the first start, Palma asks to become your home screen. Dismissed it or decided later? This is how to set it yourself.
- Notifications don't show in PalmaPalma shows notifications next to your apps, but only with notification access and when your phone doesn't put Palma to sleep.
- An update failsPalma and the Palma apps update themselves from palmalauncher.com. For that, an app needs one permission: installing apps.
